Thin scratchy lines

These are some recently added images in my sketchbook section. They were all done on Strathmore Bristol Artist Trading cards. Which are exactly what they sound like, oddly enough. They are pre-cut pieces of Bristol board the rough size of a baseball card. These things are great for just warming up on. Especially if you’re working on larger more involved compositions or series of images. They are small enough that I tend to not get too precious with the lines and marks I make. Doing little exercises or studies like these have proven to be a good way to get in the groove at the beginning of any drawing sessions as well.
All of these were done with a .30 Rapidograph if anyone out there is interested in that sort of thing.
