Kid’s Atomic Energy Lab!

February 7th, 2013

I stumbled across a number of write ups on this toy set that was offered between 1950-51. Nevermind the fact that if you calculate for inflation this wonder of wonders cost the equivalent of $500.

The kids lucky enough to have parents that could afford this, would’ve had their access to multiple radioisotopes and their very own Geiger counter! And a booklet for prospecting for your own source of Uranium!

I found this here orau.org blog which not only has a number of amazing Atomic Age toys it is an amazing depository of of the history of atomic energy! I’m glad my own beard doesn’t require ATOMIC Razorblades to shave. Give them a look it’s well worth it.
